About The Business Hut

The Business Hut began its journey in 2014, starting as most businesses do – a solution to a problem.  We noticed that not all small businesses had the requirement to operate an accounts department but required continual assistance with their bookkeeping & accounts.

Bookkeeping and other business administrative tasks were often assigned to employees that were covering other roles within the business, which had the potential to lead to errors, inefficiencies and a longer year end process for Accountants.   

What we wanted to do was bridge that gap, providing outsourced bookkeeping, administrative support and accountancy services to our clients to ensure the financial side of the business is always accurate, relevant and tidy.

Victoria Morley
Director

Victoria is a fully licensed Member in Practice with the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) as well as a Business Graduate.

Through her experience of working in finance management roles, Victoria understands that business is not just about recording transactions as and when they happen. Analysis of financial performance, cost management, setting budgets and forecasting for the future are all functions that can maximise profitability for your business. Victoria & Xero can provide the key financial functions to drive business forward.

Charlotte Morley
Director

Charlotte is passionate about using cloud technology to develop systems and processes that allow for business growth and efficiency.  Offering a flexible and cost-effective alternative to employing.

Charlotte qualified with a Distinction from ICB in Level II Bookkeeping. Though also qualified in using Sage,

Charlotte loves Xero and what it offers out clients. Not to mention the vital part it plays in the day to day running of The Business Hut activity. She also enjoys delivering Xero demonstrations and training. Charlotte loves to crunch those numbers!

Natalie Smith
Account Manager

Natalie comes from the Recruitment industry, where she has spent 7 years working in both consultant and managerial roles.  

She has a passion for ensuring first class service is always offered to clients and prospective customers.  After joining the Business Hut in 2018 she continues to grow the existing client base and introduce new users to the cloud-based technology, Xero.  Natalie holds her ICB Level II in bookkeeping.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, playing netball and cheering on Leicester City.

Leanne Wilkinson
Account Manager

Leanne is a qualified teacher with experience in school leadership, and a background in Marketing and Events Management. After a short career break, Leanne has returned to her business roots.

Leanne is ICB Level II qualified, and brings with her all the organisational, time management and communication skills you would expect of a teacher – and she has the patience of a saint!  When she’s not crunching numbers, Leanne loves nothing more than spending quality time with her kindle or a good box set.

Beryl
Office Dog

Our office dog Beryl is very much part of the team! She’s responsible for providing pet therapy, cuddles and a friendly welcome to new and existing clients alike. 

Her favourite things to do are napping & sunbathing outside the front of the office and eagerly awaiting her next meal. 

Beryl can often be found wandering in the vicinity, so we’ve kitted her out with an office dog collar and tag!
